Morgan Stanley Supports Students with Internship

Los Angeles resident Marc David Broidy has over 20 years of experience in finance. Early in his career, Marc Broidy worked for Smith Barney, now part of Morgan Stanley.

In early February 2021, Morgan Stanley announced the launch of the Future Generation Scholarship, a program that will support as many as 25 student internships in the United Kingdom. The Future Generation Scholarship is open to students from ethnic minorities and/or socially mobile backgrounds who have been offered internships in Morgan Stanley’s Summer Analysts or Industrial Placement programs. The goal is to attract and encourage students into banking.

Morgan Stanley will fund undergraduate scholarships of £10,000, which will go toward university tuition and living expenses. In addition to providing an internship at the bank, the program gives students a dedicated mentor, career guidance, and a professional support network.

The company noted that one of the reasons for launching this scholarship relates to addressing barriers to education such as discrimination. The Future Generation Scholarship aims to address these barriers in an integrated way that provides opportunities for future students.
